My wife recently had a macular hole eye operation and from the moment we first met Mr Joshi - he immediately put her at ease with his kind, calm reassuring manner. She'd been waiting several months for a general anesthetic operation , understandably so as the operation can take up to 1.5 hours - but Mr Joshi explained at the outset, the nature of the operation is usually carried out by local anesthetic ' but don't worry - you'll be fine - we'll look after you ' . I looked over to my wife and she agreed on the spot - which illustrates just how much Mr Joshi exudes quiet confidence with his calm professional manner - a true NHS star if I've ever met one. Also, I just happen to be a NHS Volunteer at St Peters Hospital and I'm so proud to be associated with such a fine man. I couldn't recommend him more highly, my wife had the operation just over two weeks ago and is well on the road to a full recovery. Thank you so much Mr Joshi - you are such a nice relaxed man and a true credit to your profession.

Mr Joshi's attention, explanations and treatment before, during and after the operation could not have been better. Because of the retirement of a consultant at the Royal Surrey County hospital the epiretinal membrane surgery was referred to Mr Joshi and although it meant travelling much farther, it was certainly worth it.

In December 2017 my husband was told he would have to undergo surgery in both eyes. For Epiretinal Membrane and Cataract removal. To be honest my poor hubby was terrified, as he had never had anything invasive done before, let alone surgery !! Mr Lavnish Joshi came to the rescue, his calm and gentle manner is very reassuring. Having now had both eyes operated on, my husbands sight is now very much improved and will continue to get better. This review is my way of saying a huge " THANK YOU " to Mr Joshi. Your professional manner and bearing to those in your care is without doubt beyond fault. You are a SUPER STAR ! I hope that people reading this will now feel confident in their treatment. All nurses and Doctor Joshi were kind and considerate. Any questions were answered and i felt i was listened to and no question deemed too small. Having gone through macular eye surgery - i would not put anyone off of having this procedure. My hole was healed in 6 weeks and my vision in that eye is improving each week. I would recommend hiring face down equipment, it was my savior in that first week - http://www.facedownsupporthire.com/info.html
